After working on a particularly poignant mural in Washingon DC, JR has headed to the Far East to spread his Inside Out love. Going mobile with his giant photo booth in a converted truck, the French photograffeur has been traveling though Japan with his crew and local volunteers, focusing especially in areas hit by the devastating tsunami which still have not completely recovered over on year out. I have been doing some research on the people that are influencing design and architecture today, looking for the current Ray and Charles Eames of our times and want to start sharing some great design. I have been following Patricia Urquiola for awhile, she has created some of the most prolific pieces of furniture for companies like Moroso and Kartell. What I love about her work is that it appears nothing is off limits, she will take a shot at designing any object, she does not have a distinctive style and it appears that she is always exploring the boundaries of taste and function.
