Tony Hong has a show that is currently on display at Hold Up Gallery in Little Tokyo. Tony works exclusively in ink. I don't think these photos capture the intricacy of his hand, if you are in town go check out the show for yourself.
Here's the show summary:
Tony Hong's intricate pieces attempt to not only highlight the organic content of his work but also instill an appreciation for the time consuming process necessary to create such detailed pieces. The organic motifs fond in his pieces contrast from many man-made designs that are in constant need of revision. Foundations not only represent the organic inspiration of his work but also the impact of art on Hong's life.
"All the random things in life that inspire me, some I create, some I spot and those I aspire to.
It's random, but then again, that's the point."

Peeps_On_Parade
I posted awhile ago about all the faces I have been seeing lately around the gallery shows and on the street. Here's a follow up to that with some more peeps for viewing.

The_Falls_Door
A new bar opened up down the street recently. I had been curious about it since they had this killer door made up of old letter press pieces. Now that it's been open a while I see that it's here to stay. It has a killer interior and the neighborhood needed something like this. Yeah to new openings downtown LA.

Efficiently_filled_In
Here is a great project in Nagoya Japan. This building is efficient and takes up as small of foot print as it can. I love how it can seem so spacious inside and be so compact.

Downtown_Bike_Ride
After a month off, I'm back to blogging. I saw some really amazing art and interior design over the last month and I hope to share it soon. Here is some street art from a recent bike ride around downtown. As always the artists did not disappoint.
