Lofts are great, they are modern, they have clean lines. Often times they have concrete or wood floors. Which is soo cool, but also can be sooo cold, sterile and not inviting. I love how area rugs have the power to transform a space. It can be the final piece that completes the space, or the statement that starts the decorating of a room. It can be the one piece of softness in an otherwise sparse environment.
Texture and color through simple geometric shapes can add alot of dimension to a room. |
Bold patterns can create a place for the eye to focus and make a statement. |
Round buttons of texture are cozy and playful. |
Color doesn't have to be monochromatic, there can be accents of other colors creating interest in an otherwise overwhelming color palette. |
